Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! This week we’ll take you to Hollywood Studios to take a gander at the force rising. But first, let’s see how the Skyliner construction is going.
We’ll start with the Skyliner progress from the parking lot.
Here you can also see the progress on the future bus depots.
Some of this area is already done, and looks nice!New Bus Depot signage.
More of the unfinished depots.
There is a new restroom/vending machine area.Looks just like the current Studios entrance theme, which is encouraging. Here’s a closer look at the Skyliner station.
And the backside of the station. The Disney Skyliner opens in the fall of this year! Will you utilize it?
Once the Skyliner opens, you’ll be able to get to the park by car, boat, bus, by walking from the Epcot hotel loop, or by air! Now, if they could just figure out alternative transportation to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Time to head into the park.Holiday hangover on Hollywood Blvd. How cute is this?!
Gertie doesn’t want to let go of the holidays, and I can’t say I blame her.
Path of the Jedi was not running for some reason this weekend.
You can see the spires of Batuu poking out over the trees. This booth is new. . .DVC kiosk? Food and beverage? Meet and greet? We’ll have to wait and see.Later this year, we’ll be heading into Galaxy’s Edge.
Best pizza in the city……except that it has been closed for some time. Perhaps it will reopen once Star Wars opens. Not much to see at the exterior of the Great Movie Ride, which will soon be Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
This attraction is expected to open in the fall of this year as well.
Let’s head into One Man’s Dream.Some Galaxy’s Edge models.
This market is new, and is just to the left of the Joffrey’s coffee shop. They offer Mickey pretzels, drinks, and some snacks.Heading into Toy Story Land to seek out more Star Wars views for you.
Galaxy’s Edge is really visible from inside Toy Story Land.
As you can see, it’s going to be hard to hide Star Wars land from Toy Story Land.
Not too much longer now. Stay on target!
Just some quick looks at the Tower of Terror before we wrap this update.
That does it for this week’s column. Do you like the progress you see at the Studios? What are your thoughts about the new gondola transportation system? Are you making plans to see Galaxy’s Edge? Let us know in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
