Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! This past weekend I attended an after-hours hard-ticket event at the Magic Kingdom called simply “Disney After Hours.” Lots of photos here of an empty, and boy do we mean empty, park. Let’s take a look.

For $119 per person, event attendees can get into the Magic Kingdom as early as 7pm. The event itself runs for 3 hours after park closing and includes about 25 attractions. The night I attended the event lasted from 10pm-1am.

There are over 25 attractions open, as well as meet and greets.

Not only is it great to be in an empty park, but the temperatures are generally nicer at this time of night too.

The Little Mermaid ride signage showed a zero minute wait.

Not too often you can get shots like this with no one around.

We waited about 2 minutes for Big Thunder Mountain, 90 seconds for Peter Pan’s Flight, and 44 seconds for Jungle Cruise!

There is complimentary popcorn, ice cream, and soda available throughout the park during the event.

The Hub is so special late at night when no one is around.

Overall, this event packs a lot into three hours. We were able to ride eight attractions in the course of an hour and fifteen minutes, spent time sitting on the Hub Grass without any distractions while enjoying popcorn and soda, and spent an hour taking photos without other guests in the way.

The price is steep at $119, but for the lack of lines, it might be an attractive swap for a hot and crowded day in the park. If you took a day off of your trip and spent it at the hotel relaxing and swimming during the day, you could then go to the park for the 7pm early entry and enjoy as many rides as you want without waiting in the late evening.
