Hey, howdy, hey everyone. Walt Disney World’s brand new Toy Story Land officially opens June 30th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, but we have photos and information to share with you right now! This is just a taste of some of what we’ll be sharing over the next few days.

For those of you who love the Tow Mater spinner in Disney California Adventure, you’ll be happy to see the Toy Story version here at Hollywood Studios. This one is covered so it can operate in the rain.

Let me tell you straight out that this ride hasn’t changed. It’s the same attracton and queue. The difference here is that the entry to the queue is now from Toy Story Land instead of Pixar Place.

Grand opening merchandise
We’ve only been in this new land for a few hours, but there are some definite takeaways. Families are going to go crazy for this. The colors, characters, and attractions all scream family and are quite the departure from the current theme of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Slinky Dog Dash is a ton of fun, and I would say that it is even better than the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Alien Swirling Saucers is very family accessible, and more than likely won’t make anyone sick. Toy Story Midway Mania fits much better here than it did in Pixar Place. However, there is a lot of concrete in this land and not a lot of shade, so it does get very hot. The queues are all covered outdoor queues with no AC, so be prepared to drink lots of fluids and find AC in other areas of the park when you can.
