Disney’s newest(ish) coaster is about to launch at Pixar Pier. The former California Screamin’ has been reskinned and rethemed as the Incredicoaster. Dusty takes a ride during a media event and shares with us below. There’s quite a back story to this attraction which once had none. Let’s take a look . . .
Incredicoaster
Get your super suits ready, folks! Step into the world of “The Incredibles” as you’ve been invited to the inaugural launch of the brand new Incredicoaster! The citizens of Municiberg have dedicated their roller coaster to the Parr family for all their heroic efforts and incredible deeds, so, of course the entire family of supers are attending.

You’re first introduced to Edna and Jack-Jack in a booth just after your train has been dispatched. The duo have found themselves sitting this ride out as they’re both too short to ride, so they’re waiting for you back in the VIP inauguration lounge. Surprise . . . then things go terribly wrong! Jack-Jack uses his incredible new polymorph powers to escape from Edna’s watch and creates a slew of chaos along the coaster’s track while his super family leaps into action to save the day.
Here’s Dusty’s first ride on the Incredicoaster. We’ll be publishing a point of view video and interview with an Imagineer shortly.
Dash meets you at the launch where you’ve found yourself a part of the Jack-Jack search party. As you sprint down the track, Dash races along side the coaster and kicks up a bit of water along the way – an incredible effect!
As you ascend up the first tunnel, Jack-Jack shoots lasers from his eyes and Dash uses his super speed to avoid getting hit. Elastigirl jumps in to assist catching Jack-Jack in the second tunnel, stretching herself flat against the walls and reaching out with both arms in attempt to grab the mischievous baby. It’s then that the aroma of chocolate chip cookies fills the tunnel and you plummet to see Mr. Incredible trying to lure Jack-Jack with a cookie. Violet jumps in with her purple force field at the last tunnel to shield you from Jack-Jack’s raging fire. You safely escape the tunnel and you hear Edna telling everyone that Jack-Jack has returned…safe and sound! Naturally, the cookies that lured Jack-Jack away can be found upon exiting the ride. Overall, this is a very exciting overlay to the existing ride. The addition of the storyline and effects really amps up the fun, here!
