Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! This week, we’re heading over to THE Magic Kingdom (you’ll understand the all caps there in a second). Let’s see what’s new this time around. . .
Is it “The” Magic Kingdom? Let’s take a closer look.Doesn’t seem to be anymore. Also, no population or elevation markings. Hopefully this sign is just temporary. This is a big departure from how these signs have always read at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom.
Pays off to arrive early, especially during Spring Break. It’s blissfully uncrowded for a few minutes.
Emporium exterior still under refurbishment. Those printed construction scrims are pretty amazing, aren’t they?
Since everything up to the Hub opens about an hour before the rest of the park now, there is signage held by CMs for those who need to check in for breakfast.Pretty flowers in the Hub.
Stitch was closed over the weekend, but is open this week to handle Spring Break crowds. This attraction is now seasonal only. It’s a tremendous waste of space. Hopefully they’ll Imagineer a new attraction which they are proud enough of that they can keep it open every day!The new Joffrey’s coffee stand in Tomorrowland is now open. It has a very retro vibe.
Walls up at Cosmic Ray’s.They extend all the way around the restaurant’s exterior.
Minutes after rope drop and the line for the Mine Train is into Storybook Circus.But the rest of the land is empty.
Again, that whole paying off to get there early thing.
Scrims up at Sir Mickey’s.
Hall of Presidents is still closed to install the newest President.
The Frontierland station now open once again.
This fountain was filled with flowers recently, and folks got nervous it would never be a fountain again. It seems that, for now, it is back to running water. Thank goodness. We don’t like the trend of fountains becoming planters.Always nice to see the Omnibus out in the mornings.
The Roy Disney and Minnie Mouse statue has been missing for a few weeks now. It is not here, nor is it over near the Firehouse like it usually is during the holidays.Time to head out.

Egg-Stravaganza returned to Epcot recently! You’ll be able to search for specially hidden “Eggs” which are individually themed to favorite Disney characters. Maps and stickers are available for $5.99, plus tax and available in several gift shops located throughout Epcot. Once you’ve turned in your map you’ll receive a special “Egg”-ceptional prize. This special event is scheduled to run thru May 29 or while supplies last!
If you’re in the Magic Kingdom, be on the lookout for the recently opened “Joffrey’s Revive”. Located next to the RocketTower stage near Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. Joffrey’s coffees and teas will be available along with a couple of Magic Kingdom exclusives. Mission to S’mores latte is very likely to become a fast favorite. Almost worth skipping Starbucks for!
