Dateline Disney World – Pirates Returns and First Signs of Christmas

Today we’ll visit the Magic Kingdom and explore the various projects happening around the park. . . including the first signs of Christmas!

This section by Tomorrowland in the Hub is now done and has food and beverage service inside.

All of the new turrets by Cinderella Castle are now out from behind tarps.

I love that these style signs have returned.

A mirror image food and beverage stand on the Liberty Square side of the Hub.

The outer ring is now fully open to guests, with the Liberty Square side being the final piece.

Pirates of the Caribbean is now open after a three month long refurbishment.

The lighting on the attraction is much more pleasing now.

No more peg leg on the ramp heading out of the attraction.

Pecos Bill had a big menu change this week, ditching burgers and chicken and going Tex Mex.

Good for Disney for adding some variety to MK dining. Hopefully it lasts.

Even on a slow day at 9:30am, Mine Train had a 45 minute wait.

While the Christmas Dream Lights are being installed, you shall not pass here.

Mary Poppins doing meet and greets in the Hub gardens is a great idea.

Oct 23 – 11am – Epcot Food and Wine Festival Sip & Nibble – eat and drink your way around the world (we’ll meet at 11am just in front of Wonders of Life, in the event of rain, we’ll meet just inside of Wonders of Life). SIGN UP FOR THE SIP AND NIBBLE HERE ! ! !

Oct 25 – Magic Kingdom Meetup – Meet us at noon at the Walt and Mickey statue for a MiceChat meet, followed by attractions and a late lunch at Chef Mickey’s (to be added to lunch reservations, please contact Teresa Cory). We’ll resume our celebrating at 4pm for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. There’s an optional Hallowishes Dessert Party, if you’d like to be added, please contact Teresa Cory.
Oct 26-30, 2015 – All aboard the Disney Dream on its first trip following a big refurbishment. We’ll be Visiting Nassau and Disney’s private Island Castaway Cay!
