Dateline Disney World returns to the Magic Kingdom this week, taking a look at the continuing state of change at America’s favorite theme park. Let’s go!
Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!Orange Bird has a sign in the tunnel again! More on him later.
USA bunting is also up with the 4th of July less than a month away.I hadn’t been in the Barber Shop since it was closed for a refurbishment.Tarps still up on Main Street.More USA bunting. The current state of MK’s Hub.New pavement near the still covered Partners statue.New castle turrets have arrived!
The right side pathway up to the Castle is currently closed.
They have torn up all the concrete here for replacement.Another view of the turrets. This building has popped up in the old Rose Garden. It has a traditional Main Street USA look.
A look at the construction on the Adventureland restaurant. The left side of the Hub has plenty going on as well.
Orange Bird has also returned to the signage at the Sunshine Tree Terrace. The figure has also been added to the building, but they weren’t open yet for the day, so no photo this week.More walls in Adventureland, probably linked to the new restaurant.
Pirates is now closed for its almost summer long refurbishment. The whole queue area is walled off.Walls also up near Pecos Bill’s.
Across the property, the price of a water bottle has gone up to $2.75. They give out free ice water at the quick service locations, don’t waste your money on what you can get for free!Nice USA bunting on the Liberty Belle is a great touch.
Tangled has been green lit for a new animated series . . . here at the Magic Kingdom we have bathrooms.
Hi Donald, who turned 81 this week!
Another view on the Main Street Center Street tarps.
Roy likes the new lawns.Time to go home
