This year Universal Studios Hollywood is planning unprecedented expansion.  The 2015 summer season will include the all new Springfield U.S.A. area of the park (an expansion of theme in front of The Simpsons Ride) complete with a Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger, Lard Lad Donuts, Duff Beer Gardens and Factory and more.  We will also see the addition of Fast and Furious Supercharged to the end of the world famous Studio Tour along with a full wrap-around storyline featuring the Fast and Furious cars and characters along the tram route. Of course, this is not to mention the all-new Night Time Tours that will be going on all summer long on the Studio tour.

There is a tremendous amount of expansion and improvement coming to the crown jewel attraction of this movie-centric Hollywood park as it is celebrating 50 years. Of course, the Studio Tour would be nothing without the right tour guides to lead the trams through the lot, pointing out interesting facts, while keeping things entertaining. This is where YOU come in.

On Monday, May 4th, Universal Studios Hollywood is holding an open casting call for new Studio Tour Guides from 2pm to 4pm. They will be casting a wide net to hire more than 40 English, bilingual Spanish and Mandarin-speaking Studio Tour Guides as the theme park prepares to introduce “Fast & Furious—Supercharged,” the new grand finale to the world-famous Studio Tour and the all-new “Nighttime Studio Tour” this summer in celebration of the theme park’s 50th anniversary.

Think you have what it takes? Head out to Universal Studios Hollywood and look for the newly re-designed Studio Tour tram and an original “Fast & Furious” prop car on display near the Globe fountain at the theme park’s main entry.  While not necessary, it would definitely help if you knew your movies and television.

The Studio Tour guides get some pretty amazing perks as you will have daily access to an authentic studio lot, and the filming locations of thousands of movie and television shows. In addition to enjoying a flexible work schedule, Studio Tour Guides will benefit from a variety of opportunities, including intimate symposiums with prestigious industry professionals, free professional acting classes, auditions for top industry casting directors and free private screenings of Universal Pictures films.
