You’ll see all sorts of things on social media these days. But blindly following an influencer to do potentially dangerous things can hurt more than just yourself. And that’s exactly what’s happening at “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!,” where the stupid actions of a some guests have resulted in a safety crackdown by the Disneyland Resort.

Due to a recent TikTok trend of improperly securing the seatbelts on the Guardians drop tower ride in order to gain air-time, a small number of guests are putting themselves and others in harm’s way. As a result, Disney is installing extra signage starting today warning guests to follow safety precautions or risk being escorted from the park.

The signs placed throughout the queue read:

Keep seat belt securely fastened and tight against the waist. Failure to follow instructions may result in being asked to leave the park.

Cast members are taking extra precautions to make sure that all guests are wearing seatbelts correctly and if there is any suspicion that any guest isn’t following safety rules, the ride will be stopped and security may be called.

Of course, Disney has a primary responsibility to keep guests safe, so we understand why the new signage and precautions are necessary. But hopefully this trend doesn’t spread to other attractions.

We hope the people in question lose their passes and that this trend ends quickly.
