And to get you into a festive mood and start thinking about booking a holiday vacation, Disneyland and Walt Disney World will start offering some special treats beginning June 23. Disneyland Resort’s Halfway to the Holidays Food
Much like this year’s Halfway to Halloween offerings, Disneyland offers far fewer options than Walt Disney World. However, both dishes can be found in Downtown Disney, giving the advantage of not requiring a park ticket or reservation to sample them.
Christmas Dinner Corn Dog at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs
(Available from June 23 through 30) Combining the best parts of a Christmas dinner, this corn dog consists of a turkey hot dog dipped in corn dog batter, rolled in panko, and accompanied by a side of cranberry sauce for dipping.
Peppermint Churro at California Churro
(Available from June 23 through 30) This dessert takes a churro and rolls it in crushed peppermint candies (rather than cinnamon sugar) and then is topped with a drizzle of peppermint frosting and pieces of peppermint candy.
Walt Disney World
Similar to Disneyland’s options, the Halfway to the Holidays food options for Walt Disney World are not located within the theme parks but are instead scattered amongst hotels and within Disney Springs.
Very Merry Minnie Mouse Cupcake at Gasparilla’s Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
(Available June 23 through 26) A chocolate cupcake gets some merry magic with cookies and cream mousse center and a chocolate ganache (with Oreo mouse ears and chocolate bow) on top).
Peppermint Bark Cheesecake at The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
(Available June 23 through 26) This peppermint-flavored cheesecake is “plussed” with a chocolate cookie and peppermint crust and a vanilla panna cotta on top.
Peppermint Mocha and White Chocolate Gingerbread Latte at Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company in Disney Springs
(Available June 23 through 26) Even in the hot and humid Florida weather, it is hard to say no to a flavored coffee beverage. The Peppermint Mocha includes dark chocolate sauce, peppermint syrup, and whipped cream. The White Chocolate Gingerbread Latte has white chocolate sauce, gingerbread syrup, and whipped cream.
