A Touch of Disney is the next best thing to DCA’s annual Food and Wine Festival. While it’s scaled back from the usual number of festival booths and entertainment this time around, it will offer expended access to shops around the park, a number of additional shopping opportunities, and character interactions. Most of California Adventure will be available to stroll through, including Buena Vista Street shopping (which was previously accessible as part of the Downtown Disney shopping experience). Here’s what you need to know, including what’s on the menu!
A Touch of Disney Event Details
- Opening Date: March 18th, 2021 (through at least April 5th, additional dates will be released on a rolling basis after that until the event is canceled
- Tickets On Sale: March 4th. (UPDATE: NOW SOLD OUT). If additional dates become available they will go on sale at: A Touch of Disney
- Cost: Tickets are $75 and include parking and a $25 food and non-alcoholic beverage credit
- Parking: Included at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure
- Event Hours: The event will operate from noon until 8pm
- Table Service Reservations: Carthay Circle and Lamplight Lounge reservations available beginning March 11th (UPDATE: NOW SOLD OUT). Guests can add themselves to a Mobile Wait List when they arrive at the park.
- Parking: Parking for the event is included at Mickey and Friends. No trams will be available, but guess will walk the tram route to California Adventure.
- Legacy Passholder Corner: Former passholders will eligible to claim special gifts (magnets and buttons) as well as snap pics at a special photo spot. The location will be in Paradise Gardens and is available from noon until 6pm.
- PhotoPass Included: A Touch of Disney guests will get free PhotoPass downloads
- $25 Event Dining Card Included: Guests can apply up to $25 toward food and non-alcoholic beverage charges on a event dining card. You can add additional money to the card (up to $1,000) at various locations around the event.
Buena Vista Street will close on March 15th to prepare for a Touch of Disney. The shopping experience will become part of the new dining event and will only be available to ticket holders on event days.
Castmember Preview 3/15/21
Castmember’s got to preview A Taste of Disney on March 15th and we learned a lot about the new event. The colorful event feels very much like previous California Adventure festivals, but with social distancing additions and less entertainment. Let’s take a look at how the festival runs (which is a bit different than the past), characters and photo spots, and even some surprise refurbishments in the park.
Banners throughout the festival are bright and have a World of Color feel.
Marketplace Booths are being put into place as well.
Prices are actually lower than we expected. Many items less than $8. Walt’s Chili will be $7. The Very, Very, Berry Mickey Waffle is $6.50. The most expensive items are all alcoholic beverages. That means guests will likely be able to purchase about 3 items with their $25 festival credit and have a bit left over. But you can add more money to your card if you’d like.
Note that the Festival Marketplace booths no longer have registers. You order your food through Mobile Order and then just pick it up at the booth.
If you need to pay for something in person, there are kiosks set up for that:

And all restaurants now have QR codes so you can check the menu and order.
Keep your eyes open as you explore the festival. We found Chip and Dale on Grand Californian balconies, Pluto was waving from the Silly Symphony Swings. And Goofy and Max were fishing into the Pacific Wharf lagoon!

Some new murals have shown up on the Avenger’s Campus construction walls:
Amazing to see Lamplight Lounge reopened.
But after being closed for a year, some new refurbishments have popped up (curious that they weren’t conducted while the parks were closed). Little Mermaid has scrims around the main dome.
And Cocina Cucamonga is covered in scaffolds as well, but it’s part of the festival! Strange that they didn’t just use a different location for food service in this area.

Dining at A Touch of Disney
Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lamplight Lounge will also be available for the event and guests will be able to make reservations to dine on one of the outdoor patios (reservations for both Lamplight Lounge and Carthay Circle will be available starting March 11th). The event will have 6 festival marketplaces as well as a number of open restaurants including Smokejumpers Grill, Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, Award Wieners, Cocina Cucamonga and others.
Note: Table reservations do not provide admission to A Touch of Disney and dining at those locations requires A Touch of Disney ticket that is valid on the same day as the table reservation.
As with previous Food and Wine Festival events, the Marketplace foods will be available to order via Mobile Order on the Disneyland app. Items include past festival favorites and menu items from around the Disneyland Resort that you’ve missed.
