Today we’re headed to Tokyo DisneySea to enjoy some theme park zen. The view in this Ten Minutes of Magic is of the entrance to the park, overlooking the Aquasphere from the Monorail platform. The fountain features a slowly turning globe set above jets of water with smaller waves encircling the base. It provides a peaceful welcome to the romanticized backdrop of a Mediterranean port town that belies the adventures waiting beyond.
The Aquasphere is a major clue to what to expect with Tokyo DisneySea. Water is the common element of all of Tokyo DisneySea’s ports of call. Travel through the park is done through the usage of boats and connected waterways to various “ports” (instead of “Lands”). Seeing the Aquasphere on arrival is another example of how extremely well thought out this amazing park really is.
