If you have been salivating over the menus for the upcoming Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival (starting February 28!), then you have surely noticed that several dishes bare the “Impossible” moniker. This plant-based trend will soon spread beyond the festival. Impossible Foods has signed a deal with Disney to expand the meatless menu options available at the Disney Parks, Resorts, and even the Disney Cruise Line.

The brand was chosen over competitors like Beyond Meat. If you haven’t tried these popular new meat substitutes, it can be hard to tell the difference, especially when it isn’t the sole ingredient in the dish.

The plan to include incorporate more plant-based foods at Walt Disney World and Disneyland was announced last September. Currently, Walt Disney World offers over 400 such dishes. Disneyland Resort’s meatless options are scheduled to roll out this Spring. Although, you can already find Impossible burgers in various locations around the resort. We enjoy the Impossible burger at the Hungry Bear in Critter Country.

What new meatless items can we look forward to trying soon? Well, for the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, you’ll find Impossible Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese (at Nuts about Cheese booth), an Impossible Meatball Sub Sandwich (at Paradise Garden Grill), and a Petit Impossible Burger with Guacamole and Pepper Jack cheese (at the Avocado Time booth). But many new items are expected to roll out at restaurants across the resort very soon.
