Now that the pumpkins have been put away until next year, the Magic Kingdom has quickly shifted to the next big season. In this week’s Dateline Disney World we’ll take a look at Christmas in the Magic Kingdom. While we’re at it, we’re also going to peek over the construction walls to get a glimpse at the Tron construction. So, put on your favorite Christmas carol and let’s get started . . .
A mere two days after the final Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of the year, Christmas has already arrived at the Magic Kingdom.

Tomorrowland and Tron Coaster Construction Update!
Let’s check out the views of the Tron coaster from the People Mover.
It looks like the coaster now makes a complete circuit.
Although there has been significant progress since the summer, there is still a lot of work left to do. But it’s scheduled to be ready by Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021?
We believe these futuristic (perhaps Christmas related) trees along the Speedway track are new. Do you remember seeing them in previous years?
Heigh-ho! A quick shot (or two) of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
And here’s a fun video from George about the ride:
Tron Coaster Update from Storybook Circus
It’s the backside of the Tron Coaster Show Building (that sounded much funnier in my head).
The outdoor portion of the track gets very close to the queue of the Barnstormer. This will add much excitement and movement to Tomorrowland and Storybook Circus.
The Walt Disney World Railroad remains closed during the Tron construction.
Fantasyland Update
Gaston’s Tavern and the Bonjour Village Gift Shop in New Fantasyland are decorated for Christmas.
It would be lovely to see more Christmas decorations in the land, but it’s still magical without them.
Liberty Square
There are walls near the stroller parking area for the Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square.
Holiday decorations are up in Liberty Square and in Frontierland.

Adventureland and the Jingle Cruise
The Jingle Cruise has returned for another season of festive follies that has been running at the Magic Kingdom since 2013.
