While the Magic Kingdom is starting to transform from Halloween to Christmas, the world-famous Jungle Cruise skippers welcomed guests once again on Saturday to the Jingle Cruise for the Holiday Season. The river cruise takes guests on a humorous journey through the wilds of Africa, Asia, and South America and adds a twist of Christmas Spirit.
Starting with the sign above the entrance you know that this is something special.
Watch for nods to the season as you wait for your cruise, including tied up Christmas trees, presents, and decorations. There is even a makeshift Christmas tree made of tropical foliage, complete with a handmade star. Santa surely won’t miss the skippers this year.
The skippers have been busy renaming the jingle boats — Noel Nellie, Brrrrr Bertha, and Garland Gertie are just a few of their creative changes.
Someone even braved the spider cage! He’s not so scary with his little Santa Cap. The Crew Mess Dinner Menu boasts a holiday menu to please even the pickiest of eaters, as long as you like turkey.
Are you ready to go A-Wassailing on the Jingle Cruise?
The hut across from the boarding area is adorned with garland and a light-up Santa. You can see a tree peeking out from the doorway.
As the cruise departs for the jungle, you come upon a camp with presents floating in the water. The gorillas have entered the empty camp, getting festive and pulling out the decorations. It will be quite the party scene when the residents return.
The rhinos have gotten the point of Holiday presents!
Some of the smaller scenes have added holiday touches, event the gators have found some gifts.
Of course, Trader Sam is decked out in his holiday finest encouraging you to get a headstart on your holiday shopping.
Don’t miss the skippers New Year’s Resolutions as you return to civilization.
This is one of the best transformations for the holidays and I was excited to be able to experience it on opening day.
