Disney Channel’s new family series ‘Gabby Duran & the Unsittables’ (based upon the novel written by Elise Allen and Daryle Conners) introduces 13-year-old Gabby Duran, who is played by actress and musician Kylie Cantrall.
During a special event at Disneyland, the Cast and Filmmakers introduced the series and screened the first episode to invited press and guests.
Gabby constantly feels like she’s living in the shadows of her almost perfect successful mother (Valery Ortiz) and smart younger sister (Coco Christo). She finally finds her moment to shine when she lands an out-of-this-world job to babysit an unruly group of very important extraterrestrial children who are hiding out on earth with their families, disguised as everyday kids.
Fearless and bold, Gabby steps up to the challenge to protect these youngsters and their secret identities, and prove she’s the best babysitter in the galaxy. Of course, things don’t go as planned and Gabby needs to overcome some hurdles to prove to everyone she can do the job.
The series star, Kylie Cantrallhe, YouTube sensation and host of the series “Hello Kylie,” interviewed musicians such as Pentatonix, Matty B. and Jordyn Jones. She also released music videos including “Snake,” “Feature from Quavo,” “Abraca DAH Brah” and “Sleep is for Suckas.” Her most recent video, “That’s What I’m Talkin’ Bout,” was released through Disney Channel Voices, an initiative to showcase new music and talent. Cantrall has also made guest appearances on the Disney Channel series “Bizaardvark” and “Raven’s Home.”
Starring alongside Cantrall is Maxwell Acee Donovan as Gabby’s bestie and conspiracy theorist Wesley, Nathan Lovejoy as the wacky Principal Swift and Callan Farris as Jeremy, a shape-shifting alien and Gabby’s first babysitting assignment.
‘Gabby Duran & the Unsittables’ is a wild and entertaining ride. With great comedic interactions, fun action sequences, and lovable characters, Gabby’s adventures are sure to convince anyone that Gabby is the best sitter around and to show kids that anyone, when given the chance, can achieve greatness. This is a cute show made for younger kids but one they can watch with their families.
