One of my favorite things to do when I visit theme parks is to look for details that are often overlooked, especially in ornately themed parks like Islands of Adventure. Today, we’re going to take a look at the details of Toon Lagoon.
Toon Lagoon: From Comic Strips to Theme Park
All of the Islands have hidden details and incredible layers of theming. When you cross into Toon Lagoon from Marvel Superhero Island, you transition from larger-than-life comic book characters to larger-than-life comic strip characters. The neat thing about comics and cartoons is finding the details, especially the ones that are hard to spot.
Strolling through the park, most people miss the details and homages to the vintage cartoons and comic strips of the past. But when you stop to enjoy the layers that Universal Creative added to each scene and building, the land comes alive.
