Disney Targets Tweens With LCD TV's, Video Cams and iPod Speakers
Here's a glimpse at the latest hi-tech items Disney will launch this fall:
LCD TV's     Clockwise from top left: High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Pirates of the Caribbean and Disney Princess LCD TV's Each TV has a 15" screen with a 1024 x 768 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. They're digital TV compatible, but not HD. Suggested retail price is $299. Available at Wal-Mart, Toys 'R' Us, Best Buy and DisneyShopping.com. Disney Flix Video Cam  Geared for young movie makers, the cam shoots video in 640 x 480 VGA resolution (1.3MP for still pictures) and has a 1.5" color flip view screen. Comes with 128MB of internal memory expandable to 2GB via an SD slot. Includes Disney Director software for editing on your PC. Suggested retail price is $99.99. Available at DisneyShopping.com, Target and Toys 'R' Us. iPod Speakers   High School Musical (l.) and Hannah Montana iPod speakers Each speaker has a spotlight design with a dock compatible with all iPod versions and Mix product lines. Comes with a digital AM/FM tuner. Projects time and radio station on the ceiling. Suggested retail price is $69.99. Available at Wal-Mart, Toys 'R' Us and Best Buy. Oh yeah, non-electric toys. I forgot about those since you never see them around anymore.

Back-to-school doesn't mean new clothes and a Trapper Keeper anymore. Back-to-school means an iPod, a cellphone, a digital camera and $200 shoes . . . if you want to be cool, anyway.
I don't envy parents these days. Gotta admit, I like the HSM TV though.
